A Mayoral visit to Squirrels

Categories: , ,

It was a privilege to welcome the Mayor of Wirral along to Squirrels on the 2nd December 2021, as we completed our first round of investitures to formally welcome them into the scouting family. Squirrels is the latest chapter in the Scouting story, allowing young people aged 4 to 6 to get active, explore nature and have fun with friends – all while earning new and exiting badges!

To complete their investiture into the group, the Squirrels were required to make their Scouting promise, after which they gained certificates, badges and most importantly their new necker which is a key part of the Scouting uniform. Once the formalities were complete, games were played whilst tea, coffee and cake was served to our parents and invited guests.

The 5th Bebington Scout Group is based at St Peters Chapel on Brookhurst Close in Bromborough. We offer exiting scouting adventures and opportunities for everyone aged 4 to 14 years old. We’re desperate for volunteers to help us keep the group running – as numbers of young people increase this is becoming quite a challenge. If you can spare a bit of time to help us out, or for further information about getting involved in the group, please visit our website – www.5thbebscouts.org.
