Squirrels

Squirrels is the latest chapter in our Scouting story – a brand new section for 4 to 6 year olds to get stuck in, do something different, and join the Scouting family. We get active, explore nature, and have fun with friends – all while earning new badges!

Squirrels runs on a Thursday evening, school term time, from 5:30 until 6:30pm, at St Peter’s in Brookhurst, Bromborough. For details on how to register for a place for your child in Squirrels, please head to 5thbebscouts.org/contact-us and drop us an email.

On Thursday 4th November 2021, we launched our brand new section at the 5th Bebington Scout Group – Squirrels! We welcomed 18 new members along to start their Scouting journey with us, and much fun was had by all. We also received a kind donation from the Baden-Powell Guild to help us launch Squirrels and buy equipment for activities.

Don’t forget follow us on Facebook and Instagram for weekly updates about what we’re up to in the group, as we continue to provide young people with new and exiting opportunities, and developing key #SkillsForLife

  • A Mayoral visit to Squirrels

It was a privilege to welcome the Mayor of Wirral along to Squirrels on the 2nd December 2021, as we completed our first round of investitures to formally welcome them into the scouting family. Squirrels is the latest chapter in the Scouting story, allowing young people aged 4 to 6 to get active, explore nature and have fun with friends – all while earning new and exiting badges!

To complete their investiture into the group, the Squirrels were required to make their Scouting promise, after which they gained certificates, badges and most importantly their new necker which is a key part of the Scouting uniform. Once the formalities were complete, games were played whilst tea, coffee and cake was served to our parents and invited guests.

The 5th Bebington Scout Group is based at St Peters Chapel on Brookhurst Close in Bromborough. We offer exiting scouting adventures and opportunities for everyone aged 4 to 14 years old. We’re desperate for volunteers to help us keep the group running – as numbers of young people increase this is becoming quite a challenge. If you can spare a bit of time to help us out, or for further information about getting involved in the group, please visit our website – www.5thbebscouts.org.
